Ted serves as the CPA MA Board Secretary and as CPA MA’s representative to the CPA Network Board. Ted is a retired program director from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation where he led a program to increase the number of underrepresented minority students earning Ph.D.s in natural sciences, engineering and mathematics (SEM).  Previously he was Director of the International Security Policy Program, School of International and Public Affairs, Columbia University; Associate Professor of Political Science, MIT; and Senior Policy Analyst at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. Ted is a member of both the Regional Council and the International Council of the New Israel Fund and a member of Temple Israel of Boston.  He is an active leader there and in the Greater Boston Interfaith Organization, where he has chaired the Impact Fund team and served as a member of the Housing Justice Campaign Steering Team.

Ted is a resident of Brookline and an avid hiker, particularly in and around the Berkshires.
