Barbara Berke

Barbara serves as the CPA MA Board Chair.  Following a two-decade career in strategy and change management with the Boston Consulting Group, she served the Commonwealth as Secretary of Economic Development for two years and served the City of Boston as a senior policy advisor to Mayor Menino for eight years.  Currently retired, Barbara serves on a number of boards, all related to bringing jobs, income and wealth to people and / or neighborhoods that are underserved.  She is a member of Temple Israel of Boston and a member of the Strategy Team of the Greater Boston Interfaith Organization.

Barbara lives in Brookline, with her husband and a South Sudanese family member, where she hosts a busy dinner table and enjoys the company of family and friends.
