Julieta Biegner
Energy Program Director
Julieta comes from a background in campaigning, researching and advocacy for climate action that is led by and for our communities. Her work has involved youth development, climate organizing, resisting fossil fuel projects, training in wind turbines, advocating for co-ops, and advancing workplace democracy. She feels passionately that building community power and cooperative ideals within our energy system can move us closer to a world that prioritizes communities and the planet.
Julieta graduated from Boston College with a BA in Communications and earned an MA in Environment, Development and Peace specializing in Climate Change Policy at Costa Rica's University for Peace. She also holds a diploma as a Wind Turbine Technician from the Northwest Renewable Energy Institute.
