CPA Staff on Air
The Community Purchasing Alliance is starting to capture the attention of conferences and radio outlets from across the country. Here’s an incomplete list of all the speaking engagements and interviews we have coming up as well as recordings of those that have already happened:
Merald will be speaking at the 2019 Forward Cities National Conference on Black Co-operative development. At the Forward Cities National Conference “every session is designed to provoke and provide practical ideas to advance inclusive innovation in your community.” You can find out more by clicking the link above!
Amy was recentally interviewed on the radio show Everything Co-op hosted by Vernon Oaks. You can follow Everything Co-op as well as listen to the full episode here.
Boris Sigal (Director of Fiance and Operations) share his take on CPA's model and our replication efforts in Connecticut on the podcast Coffee Hour at the Commons. You can listen to the full episode by clicking here.
Innofaith recently wrote an article that featured CPA Co-op as an example of how cooperatives can change local economies. Late last year Fast Company also wrote extensively about CPA, quoting co-op advocate Nathan Schneider:
“To Schneider, CPA is one of those powerful co-ops that operates mainly in the background of society. It’s not ‘disrupting’ anything around it, but rather solidifying bonds across a community that the mainstream economy often fails. That, to Schneider, is the true power of cooperative models.”
